In order for Lancet to properly protect the interests of our insured’s it is imperative that we are notified of any claims or incidents that might give rise to a claim. Please take the necessary steps to ensure Lancet is aware of any claim against you so we can best serve your interest.

What type of claims do I report?

  • Demand for money;
  • Summons, complaint, any document you are named as a defendant;
  • Notice of Intent or attorney letter demanding compensation;
  • Complaint or letter from the Medical Board or Department of Health;
  • Request for deposition or interview;
  • Request for arbitration

What type of incident that might give rise to a claim do I report?

  • Death;
  • Brain injury or neurological defect;
  • Paralysis or nerve injury;
  • Total or partial loss of limb(s);
  • Impairment or loss of sight, hearing, taste, touch or smell;
  • Quadriplegia or paraplegia;
  • HIV;
  • Birth Injuries

How to report a Claim to Lancet:

When we receive your notice of claim information, we will review all the information provided to us and will then contact you in acknowledgment and get any further information needed at that time. If no action is required, we will inform you and simple maintain the records in the event that a claim should develop. We will then be in contact with one of our appointed law firms that specialize in medical malpractice cases.
